Updating dictionary by importing *xls file strange behaviour

When importing a *.xls with only english and norwegian language to a dictionary (*.dic) with english, norwegian and more languages all the other languages are reset to empty.
Thats not nice.
The workaround is to import the *.xls to a new dictionary and then merge this into the dictionary with many languages.
