Resourcestring with greek letter (alpha,...)

Post by frelonadere »

Hello,
I have a small issue when I import resource string from my exe using the wizard, a string that contains a greek letter (like α ,β ,...), the wizard import the string but it replaced the greek letter with a ? .

ex:
resourcestring: 'Valve β is open'
after importation: 'Valve ? is open' is what I found in my translation project.

Is there any settings that I should look make it work ?

Greek letters works fine if inserted in translation project/sil/sib. I can put back the letter in the translation manually with success but it seems there is some kind of weird behavior with the wizard.

Thanks for all the work and best wishes,

Hello,
Thank you again for sending the sample file.
Using the latest available Resource Strings Wizard (version 2.0.0.3 from 14/01/2022), included in the current installation package, the error couldn't be reproduced. It imports and inserts such strings just fine:

If you don't have access to the latest installation due to account expiration, you can download the trial version and install ONLY the Resource Wizard from there. Or just let us know and we will provide you with a download link for the current Wizard's files.
Best regards,
Igor Siticov.

I did as you advised and it worked fine. I had, indeed, an older version.
I will buy a renewal soon.

Thank you a lot for your help, have a nice week and best wishes.
