Symbolic IDs

I don't understand why Resource Builder can not handle symbolic IDs.
It seems like such a basic function, I never even thought to check for it before I made my purchase.
You have no intention of ever adding this funcitionality?

We're working now under this functionality and it will be available in version 3 release.

how is it going? and what is your upgrade policy, if I buy version 2.6 now will I have to make another purchase for version 3 soon to come?
Any details? The question "Any chance of seeing version 3 any time soon? " was answered with "Yes" back in June so any progress since?
Sorry if I ask problematic questions but mainly I am concerned about the upgrade policy as I couldn't find anything about it on site.

We're hard working right now under this and most part of the work already done.
Users who purchase 2.x license will have a discount for upgrading to 3.0 when released.

Actually, even only this feature requires to re-develop the major part of the code.
