Add empty entry to dictionary

Post by Thomas J. »

Hello all,

my customer has translated the DIC file. But now I want to add a item from Translation Editor to dictionary. I have only the German word and nothing else. But I cannot add because the menue item is disabled.

How can I add new items from Translation Editor to Dictionary?

Thanks
Thomas

If you have only ONE language in Translation Editor then there is nothing to add. You can add additional languages there and then use Add All command with "Force empty items" option turned ON.

For is this
"If you have only ONE language in Translation Editor "
the normal case. The application will have in further versions new words which has to be translated. So I'm only able to add the German language. My customer has to translate the DIC file from German to their own.

Could you add the possibility to add item with one language?

Thanks
Thomas

Hello,

No any ETA yet. As a temporary workaround you can add empty language to TsiLang then use Add All command and later delete temporary language.
